Unit 1: Career Research Project
Objective: Students will be able to explore multiple career interests while identifying strengths, weaknesses, and set goals to achieve their career dreams.

Project Description
This project is worth 10% of your final grade! (9pts) for your research and (9pts) for your presentation. Make sure you read all directions!
Within this project you will research TWO careers you would like to learn more about or want to pursue as a profession in the future. Use the following slides to research all of the required information and record it on a google doc.
With your research you will then select ONE career you want to present to the class using google slides.

Project Step by Step
Step 1: Research Two Careers you are interested in pursuing.
Step 2: Record all information you gather on the google docs that is attached on slide 3.
Step 3: Pick 1 of the careers you researched and create a google slides presentation.
Step 4: Present you career to the rest of the class in 3 to 4 mins.

1pt- Career Description (What does someone in this career do?)
1pt- Further Education Required (College Degrees, Certifications, Licenses)
1pt- Average Salary Income
1pt- 5 Extra Facts
1pt- Work Environment (Risks, Indoors, Outdoors, Ect..)
1pt- 3 Soft Skills and 3 Hard Skills
1pt- What skills do you need to practice now to achieve this career?
1pt- What are two goals you want to set to achieve this career path?

1pt- 3 to 4 minutes of time was taken to present.
2pts- At least 1 picture on every slide.
2pts- Presentation was fun and interesting with valid information.
2pts- Presentation covered all research information (Look back at the last slide to see what is included.)
1pt- Spelling and Grammer
1pt- Research and presentation were turned in on time.
