The Climate

Climate refers to the typical weather patterns of a place over a long time, such as many years.

It includes information about temperature, rain, and wind.

For example, in sunny places, like deserts, it is usually hot and dry, while in other places, like mountains, it can be cold and snowy.

Knowing the climate helps us understand what kinds of plants and animals can live in different areas and how people adapt to their environment.

Lebanon's Unique Climate

Lebanon is unique among Arab countries because it does not have a desert climate.

Instead, it enjoys a Mediterranean climate. This means that summers are hot and dry, while winters are cool and rainy.

Lebanon is also home to beautiful mountains that can be covered in snow during the winter.

This variety in climate allows for many different types of plants and activities, such as enjoying the beach in summer and skiing in the winter!

Climate of Arab world

The Arab world has a desert climate in most of its regions because about 90% of the area is covered with deserts!

Deserts are known for their high temperatures during the day and cooler nights.

Rainfall is very low, which means there are fewer trees and plants.

Animals and people in the desert have to find clever ways to survive, such as conserving water and staying cool during the long, hot days.
