​Passive Voice

​We use passive voice:

• When we don't know or do not want to express who performed the action.

  • ​The fruit was eaten.

  • The vegetables are disinfected.

• When we want to say or know who did the action.

  • The butter was melted in the pan by Mr. Green.

  • The eggs are scrambled by mom.

​The boy cooks dinner.

​Dinner is cooked by the boy
