perhaps even thought of her as your mother.
But she is your mother nonetheless. And if you
get to Jannah, your mother will there, waiting
to meet you.

Her name is Khadijah (RA). May Allah be pleased with her.
She was the first wife of the Prophet Muhammad
(S), the first to believe in his message and the
first mother of the greatest nation history has
ever seen.

Khadijah was born into a life of privilege. Her family was important in Makkah and quite wealthy; she could have lived a life of ease all her days. Khadijah, however, was an intelligent and industrious young woman who enjoyed business and became very skilled. When her father died,

Khadijah gave a great deal of money to help
others—assisting the poor, sick, disabled, widows, orphans, and providing poor couples money to marry.

widely known in Arabia as a powerful, smart, independent woman, and many men wanted to work for her. However, when she needed to hire an agent, she did not hire any men eagerly seeking the job.
