"The Gift of the Magi" is a short story written by O. Henry, originally published in 1905. The story revolves around a young married couple, Jim and Della Young, who are living in modest circumstances but deeply in love with each other. With Christmas approaching and very little money to spare, they both desire to buy the perfect gift for the other to express their love and appreciation.
