We have finished the learning part of the unit!

Now it's time to revise...

Over the next three weeks we will revise the topics we've looked at throughout the unit. This will be in preparation for your exam in Week 8!

Today I want you to complete the revision quiz. This will show me what you know so far...

Every revision lesson we will add to a glossary. This will help us to remember key terms and their meanings.

Glue this glossary into your books and add the following terms and their definitions into the table.

Glossary

27

Transforming plate boundary

Plates that slide past each other horizontally, causing earthquakes.

28

Converging plate boundary

Plates that move towards each other, leading to subduction, mountain formation, trenches, and volcanoes.

29

Diverging plate boundary

Plates that move apart, allowing magma to rise, forming new crust at mid-ocean ridges or rift valleys.

On a blank piece of paper, design a poster about either transforming, diverging or converging plate boundaries. Use your computer to research. Include:

- A drawing of the movement
- A description of the movement and what landforms it creates
- Which world tectonic plate boundaries that share the plate movement, i.e.
North American plate and Pacific plate is on a transforming boundary
-
Any other key information
