Ebonybraids
lived near some
sand dunes.
4
Baba Camel, Mama Camel and
Baby Camel lived near some
sand dunes too.
5
It was
Ramadan.
Mama
Camel
made
some rice
and drinks
for iftar.
6
When Mama Camel looked
at the rice she said, “The
rice is too hot!”
7
Baby Camel
said, “The
sun is still in
the sky!”
8
Baba Camel
said, “We can
go for a walk.
Insh’Allah,
when we get
back it will be
time for iftar.”
9
“Good idea!” said Mama Camel.
So off went the camels for a walk.
10
Ebonybraids was
taking a walk in the
sand dunes and came
to the tent of the
camels.
11
She shouted
out, “Asalaamu
alaikum!
Asalaamu
alaikum!” But no
one answered.
So she went
inside - without
permission!
12
Ebonybraids
was not
fasting but
she was still
hungry.
13
Inside she saw three bowls of rice.
14
She ate some rice from the biggest bowl
and said, “Subhan Allah! This is too hot!”
15
Then she ate some rice from the second
bowl and said, “Subhan Allah! This is too
cold!”
16
Then she ate rice from the smallest bowl
and said, “Yummy! Alhamdulilah. This is just
right!” And she ate it all up!
17
Ebonybraids was thirsty. She poured
some coffee and said, “This coffee is
too hot!”
18
Ebonybraids poured some tea and said,
“This tea is too cold!”
19
Then she saw a glass of milk and said,
“Yummy! Alhamdulilah. This is just right!” And she
drank it all up!
20
Now Ebonybraids
was very tired!
So she went into
the bedroom.
21
She tried the first bed and said,
“Subhan Allah! This is too hard!”
22
Then she tried the second bed and
said, “Subhan Allah! This is too soft!”
23
Then she tried the third bed and said,
“Yes! Alhamdulilah! This is just right!” and
she lay down and went to sleep.
24
A little while later the three camels came
back. It was almost time for iftar.
25
Baba Camel said,
“Subhan Allah!
Who’s been
eating my rice?”
26
Mama Camel
said, “Subhan
Allah! Who’s
been eating
my rice?”
27
Baby Camel said,
“Subhan Allah!
Who’s been eating
my rice and eaten
it all up?”
28
Then Baba Camel said, “Subhan Allah!
Who’s been drinking my coffee?”
29
Mama Camel said, “Subhan Allah!
Who’s been drinking my tea?”
30
Baby Camel said, “Subhan Allah!
Who’s been drinking my milk and
drank it all up?”
31
Then the camels went into their bedroom.
Baba Camel said, “Who’s been sleeping in my
bed?”
32
Mama Camel said, “Who’s been
sleeping in my bed?”
33
Baby Camel said, “Who’s been
sleeping in my bed and is still
sleeping in it?”
34
Just then
Ebonybraids
woke up and
was so
frightened that
she jumped up
and ran all the
way home!
35
When Ebonybraids
told her mom and
dad where she had
been they were
very upset.
36
“Wrong action!”
Astagfirullah!”
said Mama.
“Wrong action!”
Astagfirullah!”
said Baba.
37
“Sorry.
Astagfirullah,”
said Ebonybraids.
38
The next day
Baba and Mama
and Ebonybraids
took coffee, tea,
milk, rice and
gaimat, to the
Camel family.
39
Ebonybraids said,
“I’m very, very
sorry. Please
forgive me.”
40
“We forgive you!” said Mama Camel.
“Please stay for iftar!”
“Jazak Allahu khairan! Thank you!”
said Ebonybraids and her parents.
