​At the market

Shopping in Asia can be very different to shopping in Europe or North America. In many countries, bargaining is expected! Today, we will learn some useful phrases for finding out the price of something and bargaining.

These shops are found on most corners and streets in China. They will carry basic groceries and some home goods.

These are found in most neighborhoods. Often referred to as "wet markets," this is where you buy fresh fruits, vegetables, meat and some cooked dishes.
