Design Vocabulary

computer- aided design or computer-aided drawing, the use of a computer to create, modify, or analyze a design, typically in an engineering or architecture feature.

​CAD

a “helper” view, which shows the slanted part of the object as it actually is.

Auxiliary View

​a traditional approach to design, where each component of the model is created independently in its own separate file.

Bottom-Up Modeling

the focus is on the assembly, and the individual components are modeled around the entire assembly.
