form?

The verb modification form "～なければいけません" (nakereba ikemasen) in Japanese means "must", "need to" or "have to". It's used when there's something you must do, expressing a sense of obligation or necessity.

The "～なければ" (nakereba) part is a negative conditional form that means "if you don't do....", and
the "～いけません" (ikemasen) part is the negative potential form that means "cannot go." When you combine them together, it implies that if the action is not done, it's not acceptable or not good.

Example:

たべなければいけません Tabenakereba ikemasen → I must eat

VERB (ない nai form) + ければいけません kereba ikemasen

Conjugate the verb into their ない (nai) form, drop the い (i) and add ければいけません (kereba ikemasen)

• GROUP 1
  Drop ます (masu) → change the last "i" syllable to the "a" sounds of it's column → add ない (nai)

• GROUP 2
  Drop ます (masu) → add ない (nai)

• GROUP 3
  - します (shimasu)　→　しない (shinai)

  - きます (kimasu) 　→　こない (konai)

​Drop ます (masu), change the last "i" syllable to "a" sounds of it's column, and add ない (nai). After that drop the い (i) and add ければいけません (kereba ikemasen).
