Rewards for students are a payback for all the work.

We ask our students to behave, turn in work, be on time to class, and listen when we are talking! Some of us have a longer list than this.

• give the student a path forward

Immediate rewards have the most impact

The incentive to do good things in the classroom will fade over time. Rewarding students immediately will increase motivation over time.
