Roadmapping C.O.T.S

• Roadmapping is when you use 5-7 words or symbols to summarize each paragraph of a given passage.

• You can use symbols to help you roadmap the paragraph quickly.

• Since fiction passages can include several characters and lots of action, use roadmapping to help your comprehension and recall

Roadmapping Using C.O.T.S

Evaluate how the author describes them and their relationships with others

Identify The Characters

Who are the characters and what are they doing?
