​Lets remember when we should use the subjunctive. We have below the WEIRD method. Because subjunctive is weird and not used too much in regular conversation.

​When and why we use Subjunctive

​FORMATION OF SUBJUNCTIVE

AR Verbs Regular

​Regular -ar verbs(with no stem changes):

• Take the present indicative yo form of the verb.

• Drop the -o ending.

• Add the following endings: -e, -es, -e, -emos, -en.

​Example: hablar (to speak)

yo hablo → hable

• tú hablas → hables

• él/ella/usted habla → hable

• nosotros/nosotras hablamos → hablemos

• ellos/ellas/ustedes hablan → hablen

ER & IR Verbs Regular

​Regular -ir/-er verbs(with no stem changes):

• Take the present indicative yo form of the verb.

• Drop the -o ending.

• Add the following endings: -a, -as, -a, -amos, -an

​Example: beber(to drink)

• yo bebo → beba

• tú bebes → bebas

• él/ella/usted bebe → beba

• nosotros/nosotras bebemos → bebamos

• ellos/ellas/ustedes beben → beban

​Irregular Verbs in Subjunctive

Hacer (to make/do): yo haga tú hagas
él/ella/usted haga nosotros hagamos ellos/ellas/ustedes hagan

Decir (to say/tell): yo diga tú digas él/ella/usted diga nosotros digamos ellos/ellas/ustedes digan

Ser (to be): yo sea tú seas él/ella/usted sea nosotros seamos
ellos/ellas/ustedes sean
