What is theme?

Theme is the author's message about the story. What message is the author trying to send to the reader? What lesson did you learn?

Why is Goodall is excited to learn that David Greybeard took bananas from her tent? because

Plot is the sequence of events within a story: a description of what happens and why it happens. It contains the conflict and resolution.
