Position
Position is the location of an object at a
given moment in time.
Relative Position: Often we describe the
position of something by comparing its
location to the location of something else.

For example, Ms. Strohl’s classroom is to the

that you compare to other locations is
called a reference point.

This change can happen in the vertical
or horizontal direction.

horizontal direction would be walking
through the doorway.
