When answering constructed response questions...

Read everything- necessary information may be hidden in captions or instructions.

  1. Answer ALL the questions: “explain, describe, prove, justify” need an answer.

  1. Write clearly and with detail. When you are stuck, re-state the question to get started. Use mathematical terminology and define what it means.

  2. Show/Model the math. Provide examples of mathematical problems. Give all necessary formulas or equations.  Define the variables and explain the steps to solving them.

  3. DO NOT LEAVE ANYTHING BLANK. Some points are better than NO points!
