SAmr lesson plan review
In this lesson, students were taught about the seasons and what causes them to change. To achieve this, using the SAMR model, student participated in...
- Online polls (Substitution)
- Filling out notes on Google Docs (Augmentation)
- Used Google Earth to visualize seasonal change (Modification)
-Made a documentary (Redefinition)

assistive technology
Every student is different, some requiring
a little more help than others. Assistive
technology can provide this, ensuring
that all students have access to proper
education.
4
Low-tech
For this lesson plan, I will be providing
low tech assistive technology, such as
a visual schedule. This will allow students
with disabilities, such as autism, to have a
clear and organized idea of what activities
they will be participating in.
5
mid-tech
I will also be providing mid tech assistive
technology, such as an electronic speller or
a dictionary. These will help disabled students,
particularly those with dyslexia, with their
grammar and spelling while they are
performing the notes activity on Google Docs.
6
high-tech
Throughout this lesson, I will also
provide students with high tech
assistive technology, like
text-to-speech. This will allow
disabled students to participate
in all lesson activities, such as the
notes, online poll, and Google Earth website.
7
the Most suitable tech
For this particular lesson plan, I believe the text-to-speech program is the most important. This lesson contains a lot of technological material, such as Google Docs, online polls, and the Google Earth website. Visually impaired students, in particular, would greatly benefit from this assistive technology because it will read aloud the information on the screen, allowing them to learn at the same pace as everybody else.

Reflection
How should we prepare teachers? To prepare teachers to use assistive technology, I believe that we should hold classes or seminars that will help familiarize teachers with these technologies.
How do we ensure assistive technology promotes inclusion? To ensure this, assistive technology must not be used to give a greater advantage to disabled students. There is a line between helping and cheating that must not be crossed.
