Something that is intact has not been broken or damaged. It's complete or whole

Ex: Eggs that have not been cracked are intact

A meteorologist is a scientist who studies meteorology- in other words, someone who studies processes in earth's atmosphere that cause weather conditions

Radar is a device or system used to locate objects. A radar can determine an object's position, its speed if it's moving and sometimes, its size

To raze something is to tear it down to the ground

Ex: Homes and buildings can be razed by a tornado

To transfix someone is to cause them to hold still inwonder, fear or amazement.

A vortex is mass of air or fluid that psins around very fast and pulls things toward a center cavity-like a tornado or a whirlpool

A weather vane is a mechanical device attached to something high (like a rooftop) that rotates to show which way the wind is blowing
