Fun Facts about the G/T Student Conference

●This Conference began in 2014 - and here we are in 2024!

●There are over 675 students/chaperones/parents here
today.

●We have over 33 sessions going on today.

●You may be interacting with kids from over 20 different
school districts - from in and outside of San Antonio!

●Over 220 pizzas were ordered for today’s conference!

●We have Zoologists, Professional Actors, Museums, DJs,
Engineers, Artists and more. Ask questions and have fun!

●Sessions and Rooms listed on badges.

●Chaperones - Water/Chips are in your rooms and
pizza will be delivered prior to lunch.
(Everyone will get 2 slices of pizza, chips, drink)

●You will report back here after your 3rd session
unless your teachers/school chaperones have said
otherwise.

Special Notes

● Alamo Science Lab is at the very end of the hall on

Ground Level - (Walk toward the Arrow)

● Interacting with the Animals in Living Science session

will be in a different building. A volunteer/chaperone
will walk with you. This session meets on the 1st
floor/Main Entrance.

● If you aren’t sure where to go, please find an

adult/chaperone/volunteer to assist you.

Closing Session

When you arrive to the closing session

Turn in the plastic badge holder to your teacher.

○

Complete the survey in your folder, hand it to
your teacher.

○

District Leaders - Please collect the badge
holders and surveys in the ziplock bags you
received and provide them to any ESC
employee or at Main Registration Desk before
you leave.
