Intrinsic Motivation: The Power Within
Intrinsic motivation stems from internal factors, such as personal interests, values, and enjoyment. When we are intrinsically motivated, we engage in activities because we find them inherently satisfying and enjoyable. The driving force behind our actions is the internal desire for growth, self-expression, or the sheer pleasure derived from the activity itself. For example, someone who loves painting may spend hours immersed in their artwork simply because they find it fulfilling.
Intrinsic motivation is often associated with higher levels of engagement, creativity, and overall satisfaction. When we are intrinsically motivated, we are more likely to persist in the face of challenges and achieve a sense of mastery in the activities we pursue.

№ 2. Read the abstract
"Extrinsic Motivation: The External Push"
Unlike intrinsic motivation, extrinsic motivation is driven by external factors such as rewards, recognition, or avoiding punishment. When we are extrinsically motivated, our actions are guided by external incentives rather than internal desires. For instance, an employee may work diligently to earn a promotion or a student may study hard to receive good grades.
While extrinsic motivation can be effective in driving short-term behavior, it may not necessarily foster long-term satisfaction or intrinsic interest. In some cases, individuals may become overly dependent on external rewards, leading to a decline in intrinsic motivation. Therefore, it is essential to strike a balance between extrinsic and intrinsic motivation to maintain sustained engagement and enjoyment in our pursuits.
