To make regular nouns plural, add s to the end.

Example:
cat cats

househouses

If the singular noun ends in –s, –ss, –sh, –ch, –x, or –o, you usually add -es to the end to make it plural.

Example:
bus-buses
dress-dresses
box-boxes
church-churches
brush-brushes
potato-potatoes
