Smell

You smell with your nose.

The sense of smell is the ability to detect and identify odors.
The sense of smell can keep you safe. Eg. It can warn you

Taste

Your tongue has special parts that pick up flavour, these parts
are bundled together as taste buds. Taste buds help you
taste different flavours, like sweet, salty, sour, bitter and
“umami”. “Umami” is a rich savoury flavour.
