The base part of Narrative writing is telling a story. Narrative writing tells something that happens whether it is made up or real.

There are many important parts of Narrative writing. One is the setting. The setting is where and when the story is happening. Ex: Mary was walking on a cold, dark, and stormy night at 3 am.

Dialogue

Dialogue at its base is speaking. When you have dialogue it usually happens between two or more people. Dialogue is often used with "quotation marks".

Point of View

The point of view is a big part of Narrative writing. The point of view is who is telling the story. There are three types of point of view. The first point of view means that the main character is telling the story from his/her perspective. The second point of view is placing the reader as the main character. The third point of view means that a external narrator is telling the story.

Ex of 2nd person: You went to the Market
Ex: of 3rd person She went to the Market
