​Adjective or Describing Words

​An adjective is a word that describes or modifies a noun or pronoun. It provides more information about the person, place, thing, or idea we're talking about.

​example of adjectives:

• Size- big, small, short, tall

• Shape- round, square

• Colur- Purple, Black

• Material- wooden, metal, glass

• Age- young, old, ancient

• Feeling- happy, sad, angry

• Origin- French, Japanese, Indian

How Adjectives are Used?

1. Before the Noun - example

   The Red CAr pARKED IN FRONT OF MY HOUSE.

2. After A linking Verb- example

   The Cake smells Delicious..

Examples:

1. Delhi is a big city.

2. Simran has a round face.

3. I love Purple flowers.

4. The wooden box is empty.

5. This is an ancient building.

6. Meha is happy today.

7. The skin of the jackfruit is rough.
