Use it to talk about existence or location. I am a doctor / I am at the airport.
Use it to make introductions (name, age, profession, origin).

To talk about existence: Pronoun + Verb To Be + Noun. She is a teacher.
To talk about location: Pronoun + Verb To Be + Noun (Place). I am at home.
To describe: Pronoun + Verb To Be + Adjective. That house is expensive.
