Translation Course Intro.

How this course will be conducted.

What you'll be doing:

• Learn how to translate various types of text, from both fiction and nonfiction sources.

• Exercise your translation skills.

• Improve your English grammar and vocabulary, in accordance with your needs.

How this works:

• Each week we will select different themes.

• I will start each session with a brief lecture on topics pertaining to translation and English in general.

• We will do live translation exercises via Google Docs, in which you are allowed to discuss with your peers or ask me questions whilst you're translating.

• You may request specific topics for the following week.

• Lessons about grammar may be included during certain sessions, which will be structured according to your collective and individual needs.

Disclaimer

The main activity you'll be engaged in during these tutoring sessions will be translation practice. As such, you may find these sessions repetitive or dull--and that's perfectly fine. However, other than constant practice, there is no method suited for better your translation skills.
