What is Announcement Text?
Announcement text is a written statement in the form of a public declaration that is public or intended for the general public. Usually, the content of an announcement text can be a fact, event, or information that is considered important.

The purpose a.k.a social function of announcement text is to announce information officially so that the people who read the announcement can receive information according to the facts.

Some types of announcement text that we often find include business announcement, school agenda, school event announcement, graduation announcement, birth announcement, company announcement, marriage and wedding announcement, and many more.

What is the Generic Structure of Announcement Text?
1.Opening
the opening part of the announcement text will be characterized by the title (title/type of event), greeting, purpose of the announcement, or an outline of what will be conveyed in the content of the announcement.
2. Content
the content part is also called the explanation which contains detailed information.

Here, you can write an appeal, additional information, contact person, social media, call to action, thank you, and also a closing greeting

1. Simple present tense
Tenses that function to explain an event, event, or fact that takes place in the present.
2. Simple future tense
announcement text is also closely related to events or events that will take place in the future.

1. Make it easy for readers to get information quickly.
2. Keep it short, make the reader feel "interested", and convey information to the point.
3. Write clearly, complete with date and time.
4. For bad information (such as announcements of dead people, missing people, etc.), there is no need to include various long-winded statements.
