​ความหมายและการใช้

• "There are" ใช้เพื่อบอกว่ามีบางสิ่งบางอย่างมากกว่าหนึ่งอยู่ในที่หนึ่งที่เฉพาะเจาะจง

​โครงสร้างประโยค

• There are + คำนามนับได้พหูพจน์

  • เช่น There are two cats on the roof.

  • (มีแมวสองตัวอยู่บนหลังคา)

​ตัวอย่างประโยค

• There are books on the table.

  (มีหนังสือหลายเล่มอยู่บนโต๊ะ)

• There are apples in the basket. (มีแอปเปิ้ลหลายลูกอยู่ในตะกร้า)

• There are children in the park.

  (มีเด็กหลายคนอยู่ในสวน)

​การใช้อื่นๆ

• สามารถใช้ "there are" ในการตั้งคำถามได้:

  • เช่น Are there any books on the table?

• สามารถใช้ "there are" ในการปฏิเสธได้:

  • เช่น There aren't any apples in the basket.
