Israel in the Olympics

Israel has been competing since 1952.

Israel has been competing in the Olympics since the 1952 Olympics in Helsinki. The first time Israel won a medal was in 1992 in Barcelona.
That year, Yael Arad became the first Israeli and first Israeli woman to win a silver medal. She won it in Judo. Oren Smadja also won a bronze medal in Judo
