Practice Email Scenarios
Scene 1:
Your teacher assigned homework that needs to be handed in my 5pm via Google
Classroom. You thought you were going to have time to work on it after school, but
your cat suddenly got sick and you had to run out to the veterinarian to make sure
your cat is ok. In the taxi on the way there, you decide to email the teacher to ask
them for an extension on the HW so that you don’t lose any points.
Scene 2:
You were absent in class last week so you are having trouble understanding the new
classwork. You feel stressed and overwhelmed because you have watched the video
and the powerpoint but you still don’t get it. You want to schedule a time to meet with
your teacher sometime this week ,one on one so that they can explain it to you better.
Scene 3:
You are having a water leak issue in your house or apartment. Your parents ask you to
write an email to the landlord or a contractor so that they can go to your house/
apartment and fix the leak. Your parents are only available on the weekdays after
3pm.
