USING YOUR LOCKER
●You will NEED to use your locker!!!
●You must know how to open up your lock.
●Practice, practice, practice, until you can successfully open it
at least 3-5 times in a row.
●You are NOT to be carrying every single book you have in
your backpack EXCEPT for the three classes you are going
to in the morning, after snack, and after lunch.
●After snack and lunch, you need to unpack the books/items
you don’t need any longer from your prior classes, and pack
up for your next three classes.

●We are going to begin by watching a quick video on how to open
your lock. No locks should be out at this time.
●After the video, take out your lock and you are to practice opening
it until you can successfully open it 3-5 times in a row.
●How to open the combination lock:
1.Turn the dial on the lock clockwise to the right three times.
Stop turning when the first combination lines up with the
indicator.
2.Turn the dial one full turn to the left, pass the 1st
combination number, and stop turning when the second
combination number lines up with the indicator.
3.Then turn the dial to the right and stop when the third
number lines up with the indicator.
●Partner Check: When you accomplish this, show a friend that you
can successfully open your lock.

How to Open a Combination Lock

Reorder
Reorder the following steps to unlock and lock your locker.
Turn the dial on the lock clockwise to the right three times. Stop turning when the first combination lines up with the indicator.
Turn the dial one full turn to the left, pass the 1st combination number, and stop turning when the second combination number lines up with the indicator.
Then turn the dial to the right and stop when the third number lines up with the indicator.
Pull down on the lock to open it . Hang it back on your locker so you do not lose it.
Put your lock on you locker and click it closed. Pull down on your lock before leaving to make sure it is really locked.

●Raise your hand and wait patiently until I come to you.
●Show me that you can open it three times in a row.
●I will check off your name so you can get credit.
●You will be able to put your lock on your locker after snack,
lunch, or school.
What to do while you are waiting…
●If you are waiting to be checked off or you’ve already been
checked off, quietly work on our activity or read
independently.
●PLEASE be patient as it might take a couple of days to get
all students checked off - thank you
