Leader Introduction
Each of you will tell the Team what you are involved with at school, why you became involved with those activities. What you do outside of school and why you chose to become a Peer Mentor this year.
Why is a good introduction Important?

WITHOUT DROPPING YOUR STRAW ( HEY IT'S OKAY IF YOU DO!), MOVE THROUGH 3 ACTIONS
When a straw drops- just say " no problem" and begin again!
a) move your group 6 feet to the left
b) turn the group in a 360 degree circle
c) Have you group " take a knee" and stand again without dropping a straw!

Name Ball Scramble (10 minutes)
Say "Names are the first step in getting to know someone"
Hold the white paper ball and pass it to the person on the right; that person says her/his name and passes the white paper ball to the next person on the right.
When the ball returns the Leader repeats this process with the color paper ball, except this time the ball is passed to the left.
Next , the leader passes the white paper ball the the right again, this time saying her/his name AND the name of the person the ball is being passed to.
When the ball retunrs the lease repewts the process with the color paper ball, except this time passing to the left
The Leader now passes tboth paper balls at the same tije reminging the group they have to say their name and their neighbers name. Just one time. white ball goes right, other color goes left!

" If you here me yell, "STOP!", everyone stops what they are doing; If you are holding one of the paper balls it's your chance to say your name and the name of the person on your right and your left."
"If you here me yell " Scramble!" everyone gets to quickly find another spot in the circle; if your holding the paper balls at that time, just hold on to it until everyone is in a new spot and it's time to pass the paper balls again."
" If you here me yell " Gotcha", the group stops passing and the people with the paper balls get the chance to say the names of everyone in the group." Make sure to celebrate those who accomplish this task!

1. You have permission to NOT know someone's name and
2. You have permission to ask someone's name at anytime.

What's Your Favorite? (5 minutes)
" I am going to ask you each to pick a number from 1 - 35. When you choose it, I will look at my sheet and ask you a question based on that number."
If a student is struggling , ask them to pick another number 1- 35.
If the number has a * next to it, the means ALL PLAY and the entire group gets to answer the question.

Tip of My Finger ( 5 minutes)
Group practices everyone's name in random order until all names are said: The leader begins this process
Leaders starts by calling a name and tapping the balloon toward that person using only her/his index finger.
The called person must tap the balloon next, using only her/his index finger , toward someone else, calling her/his name.
Keep the balloon in the air as long as possible, calling as many different names in the group as possible.

Tip of my Finger
Pretend that one foot is glued to the floor while tapping the ballon with index finger., and calling out another group members name
Pretend both feet are glued to the floor while tapping the ballon with index finger and calling out another group members' name
Final Challenge: Leader taps the balloon using her/his whole hand as high as possible and call's a person nameinthe group, that person calls another name and so on. The goal is to name all the members of the group without repeating a name before the ballon touches the ground.
Leader has strategy discussin if the group is struggling to complete the task. Give them the clue of planning who will call what names ahead of time.
