Exploring Physical Science

It is a way of learning about the natural and social world through observation, experimentation, and analysis of evidence.

There are 3 major branches of science:
- Earth Science
- Life Science
- Physical Science

What is Science?

​It is the study of matter and energy.

Matter is what everything is made of.

Energy is the ability to do move or do work.

All matter contains energy, even if you cannot see or feel the energy.

Example: Food contains energy. When you eat the food, you get energy from the food. You can use the energy to do all of your daily activities.

Chemical reactions happen when one substance combines with another.

Like dropping a mentos into a coke bottle.

Chemical reactions happen all around us.
They are happening right now in your body, food is being digested.. CHEMICAL REACTION.

This is the second branch of physical science.

Just like chemistry, physics is about matter.

Physics is the study of how energy interacts with matter.

Learning physics can help you understand things like how a roller coaster moves and what keeps it on the tracks.
