The subjunctive is used to express a variety of moods. It is often uncertain and subjective.
The subjunctive has two clauses; dependent/subordinate and main
The subjects in the two clauses are different. The main clasue is followed by que

DISHES

There are Irregular verbs in the subjunctive that follow no pattern
The acronym DISHES is a way to remember the most common irregular verbs
In the subjunctive stem changes and spell changes still apply

hacer- haga/hagas etc
pensar- piense/pienses etc

present tense stem-changes will still apply in the subjunctive

car- que
gar-gue
zar- ce

Soemone may be looking for someone or something with certain qualities without having anyone or anything particular in mind.
