Zones of Latitude –
• Low or tropical– found on either side of the equator, extending to
the Tropic of Cancer in the north and the Tropic of Capricorn in the
south. Lands here are hot all year long.
• Middle or temperate– lie at the middle latitudes, between the
tropics and the polar regions. In these zones temperatures can vary
greatly.
• High or polar– encircle the North
