​1. Definisi dan fungsi recount text​

​

a.​ Definisi

Recount text is a text which retell past events (suatu jenis teks yang kontennya menceritakan kembali suatu peristiwa nyata atau kegiatan yang menimpa seseorang di masa​ lampau).

​

b. Social function/purpose (tujuan)

To retell past events

(tujuan teks ini ialah menceritakan kembali kisah nyata dimasa lalu ​dan untuk menghibur pembacanya).

2. Struktur teks (generic structure)

​

a.​ Orientation

Mengenalkan tokoh, waktu, dan tempat.

​

​b. Events

Berbagai kejadian secara berurutan (sesuai kronologis).

​

c. Re-orientation

Akhir dari sebuah cerita, bisa berupa kesan atau komentar penulis terhadap cerita​.

3. Unsur kebahasaan

​

• Noun : Kata benda tertentu sebagai kata ganti orang​

• Past tense : menggunakan kata kerja bentuk lampau misalnya went, visited, worked, dll.

• Time connective : kata penghubung waktu untuk mengurutkan kejadian misalnya after, before, then, after that, dll.​

• Adverbs : kata/frasa keterangan untuk menunjukkan waktu, tempat, dan cara misalnya yesterday, last year, at home, slowly, carefully, dll.​
