The term magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) refers to a type of test your doctor can run to produce images of the inside of your body. An MRI is an instrument that produces a magnetic field to scan your body. As you view the video below, pay attention to how the magnetic field produced by the MRI helps to produce an image.

Draw an apple tree. Be as detailed as you can be.
We will be looking at some similarities and differences between the different trees that you all draw!

Quantitative data is recorded observations that use numbers or measurements. Quantitative contains the root word quantity. A quantity is another word for a number.
Examples of quantitative data include:

You could collect data about this balloon that measures the length of the string, the volume of the air inside the balloon, and the mass of the balloon. All of these measurements will produce quantitative data.
Quantitative
Qualitative data is recorded observations that describe something. Qualitative contains the word quality. Any word that describes the qualities of an object is qualitative.
Examples of qualitative data include:
hot or cold
color
texture
You could describe this balloon as purple, inflated, and having a long string. All of these observations are qualitative.
