Rising Action

Events in a story that lead from the exposition (beginning) to the climax.

Static character

A character that does not change throughout the story.

Theme

The main idea or message of a story. It may be direct or indirect. ​

Tone

The author's feelings toward the subject. It is often told through word choice.

dialogue

A conversation between two or more people.
