● The field of geography is broken
down into five themes, or
categories:
○ Location
○ Place
○ Human-Environment
Interaction
○ Movement
○ Region

Location: provides a way of locating
places, which can be absolute or relative

Absolute location

where a place is

where a place is in
relation to other
places
