• Problems About Equal Groups

​Equal Groups: Example 1

• Movie tickets were $8 each. The total ticket sales were $960. How many tickets were sold?

• Divide $960 by $8 to see how many tickets were sold.

• $960/$8 = 120. 120 tickets were sold.

​Equal Groups: Example 2

• Juanita packed 25 marbles in each box. If she filled 32 boxes, how many marbles did she pack in all?

• Multiply 25 marbles times the 32 boxes.

• 32 x 25 = 800. Juanita packed 800 marbles in all!
