Celebrity Life

You will imagine you are celebrities or busy people and have to say what tasks you ask other people to do for you.

Example: “I'm a singer, so I have my assistant buy my clothes,” “I have my chef prepare all my meals.”

Let's have a picnic!!

You and your friend(s) are planning to have a picnic this weekend. Get together with your friend(s) and put together a shopping list of the things you need to buy. Decide who will buy what.

Group Task Delegation

You are going to organize a party for the company's anniversary. You have to divide up the tasks and decide who you will ask to do them.

Example: “We will have Tom buy the decorations,” “We will have Mary send the invitations.”

Speed planning

You will have 1 minute to plan some errands. You should think of three places you need to go and what you will buy.

Ex: “First, I will go to the supermarket to buy milk. Then, I will go to the bakery for bread. Finally, I will go to the pharmacy to get aspirin.”

You will be renting a car and you should think about what type of car you prefer for different situations.

1st situation

You are late for a meeting because of an accident on the road. Explain what happened to your boss.

2nd situation

You are trying to get to the airport, but the GPS says there’s a detour. Describe the conditions and find an alternative route.

3rd situation

You are on a road trip with your friends, but the highway is closed due to roadworks. What will you do?

What movie to watch?

It’s Saturday. You and your friend(s) were planning to go out, but the weather is terrible. You have decided to stay in and have a movie day instead. Suggest a movie and give a short summary of the plot of each one.
