At the leadership summit (領導高峰會), one event was very special for me. A man who started his own

business (商業) talked to us. He told us he had a hard life. He said he lost all his money once. He felt

really sad. He thought about quitting (放棄). But he did not give up (放棄)! Instead, he learned from his

mistakes (錯誤). He worked hard and saved money. Then, he started a new business.

He said, “Failing (失敗) is not the end; it helps you learn.” After his talk, we had a workshop (研討會).

We talked about our own problems. I saw that everyone has hard times (困難), but we can all learn from

them.

This event taught me to keep trying. It made me believe I can face my own problems too if I stay strong.

Sample analysis

In the documentary series Courage and Bravery, one act of bravery really moved me. It
showed a young man named Jake who helped after a traffic (交通) accident. The scene
began with a loud crash (碰撞). Many people were shocked (震驚) and scared.

Jake was driving nearby when he saw the accident happen. Instead of driving away, he
pulled over to help. He ran to a car where a woman was hurt and unable (無法) to get
out. Without hesitation (woman was hurt and unable (無法) to get out. Without
hesitation (猶豫), he opened the door and checked on her. He saw that she was
bleeding (流血) and needed help right away. Other drivers stopped to assist (協助), but
Jake was the first to reach her.

The most touching (感人的) moment was when Jake held her hand and told her
everything would be okay. She looked scared, but his words gave her comfort (安慰).
Jake stayed with her until the ambulance (救護車) arrived. moment showed how brave (
勇敢) he was. He did not think about his own safety; he just wanted to help someone in
need. This act of kindness (善良) inspired (激勵) me. It reminded me that 期間, one
person can make a big difference. Jake's bravery made me believe in the importance of
caring (關心) for others.
