Introduction

A discussion

​on a specific topic between a journalist, who is also called an interviewer, and another person who is called an interviewee.

​Interview

• A person who is asking someone questions at an interview.

- Synonym: reporter, investigator, questioner.

​​Interviewer

• A person who is being asked/interviewed.

- Synonym: resource person

A person who knows a lot about a particular subject, may be employed to give information.

Interviewee

Find all the information you may need.

​Each group should decide who will take on each role:

• Interviewer: Asks the questions.

• Interviewee: Answers the questions.

• Camera Operator: Records the interview.

• Director: Guides the session and ensures everything runs smoothly.

• Note Taker: Writes down key points and ideas.

Plan and Script

Write a plan and a simple script for the interview, including an introduction, main questions, and conclusion.
Example of a Simple Script

Introduction: Interviewer: "Hello, my name is [Name], and today I will be interviewing [Interviewee's Name] about their/his/her favorite hobby."

Main Questions: Interviewer: "Can you tell us about your favorite hobby?" Interviewee: "My favorite hobby is drawing. I love creating art because it allows me to express myself."

Conclusion: Interviewer: "Thank you for sharing with us, [Interviewee's Name]. It was great to learn about your hobby. Bye!"
