& why did it split?

Pangea is just the latest supercontinent in Earth's history.
Before it came along, During the Triassic period, the
continents came together to create what we now call
Pangea.

The reason Pangea split can be supported by the
Continental drift theory, Seafloor spreading and Plate
Tectonics theory.

Is another theory that explains why
Pangea broke apart. The cycle of
breaking apart and coming together
happens because of subduction
which occurs when tectonic plates
converge into one another. Which is
how Pangea went from that to our
current day continents. Scientist
says that the plates continue to
move about 1.5 cm (0.6 in) a year.
It is a very slow process.

Seafloor spreading is a geological phenomenon that takes place
when tectonic plates separate from one another, resulting in the
creation of new oceanic crust. As these plates move apart, magma
ascends from below the Earth's surface, cools, and forms
additional land in the ocean.

Harry Hess confirmed Wegener's Ideas by using evidence of
seafloor spreading.

Change the
boundaries and
borders of countries,
Leaders can either
come together or fight
with each other over
land and control,
Resources and wealth
of Pangea would NOT
be fair.

The separation of Pangea
was believed to have an
impact in how Native
Americans populations
were spread. As the
continents drifted apart
distinct groups develop
unique languages,
customs and beliefs.

Wider range of
resources (Such as
minerals, oils, & gas),
Huge impact of tourism
& travel industries,
Different currency (such
as USD, Euros & Yen), &
Transportation of
goods & people would
be much more efficient
& cost-effective

What if Pangea

still exist in our
