English Language development progresses
❑ Schools should implement an oversight plan that
outlines the development, implementation, and
monitoring of ILPs

ILP – Monitoring Forms
Every EL must be monitored at least quarterly.
❑ All teachers shall monitor the academic and English
language proficiency growth of EL students through
benchmarking, progress-monitoring, formative
assessments, and/or summative assessments at least
quarterly (Chapter 0520-01-19: English as a Second
Language Programs).
❑ All teachers in core subjects can provide input on
student progress monitoring for their ELs every quarter
❑ ESL Teachers will update the ILP in TN Pulse to reflect
input
