Past Simple and Past Continuous

​I can use past simpe and past continuous

​1. Past Simple (Жай Өткен шақ):

• Past Simple белгілі бір уақытта аяқталған әрекеттерді сипаттау үшін қолданылады. Бұл іс-әрекеттер бірінен соң бірі болған оқиғаларды білдіреді.

• Мысалы:

  We had lunch. Then we put on our coats and left.
  (Біз түскі ас іштік. Содан кейін пальтоларымызды киіп, шығып кеттік.)

2. Past Continuous (Өткен шақтағы ұзақ іс-әрекет):

• Past Continuous белгілі бір уақытта жалғасып жатқан іс-әрекеттерді сипаттау үшін қолданылады.

• Мысалы:

  • It was raining. People were wearing raincoats and carrying umbrellas.
    (Жаңбыр жауып тұрды. Адамдар плащ киіп, қолшатыр ұстап жүрді.)

Past Simple + Past Continuous (Қысқа оқиға мен ұзақ іс-әрекеттің үйлесімі):
