​Academic Responsibility

​Students are expected to learn how to advocate for their own learning.
Students should actively engage in class at all times.
Asking questions in class to clarify learning or when needing assistance is a life skill that will benefit a students academic success and future career aspirations.
Taking responsibility for learning is just as important as following rules and laws.

What is something you can do to take responsibility for your learning?

Daily Work: 60%
Exams: 40%

Exam corrections: Must follow CER format for 1/2 credit back.

2-3 days late: -10 more each day.
4+ days late: Mrs. Holtz may or may not grade it for a 25.

Why are there consequences for turning in classwork late?

Cell Phones should not be visible at any time unless they are in the Cell Phone Storage on the Wall.

You will receive a discipline referral if you have it out.

Why are cell phones detrimental to learning in school?

There will be weekly homework for this class.
You will have at least 5 days to complete it.
Any unfinished classwork is homework.

Homework

Tutorials are available after school. Please let me know when you are coming.
Morning tutorials are available - ask for a pass to get let in on the Auditorium side.

If you arrive to class late - you will be marked tardy.

If the bell rings and I cannot see you from my door - you are tardy.

You do not need to go get a tardy pass. I will do put it in the system for you.
