Meet V BTS

My friends and I ran into [V] of BTS at the Lincoln
Park Zoo in Chicago in October. He was with a
manager and a security guard. I had went ahead of
my friends outside while they were still in the indoor
gorilla exhibit. He had walked pass me when I was
sitting on the bench getting something out of my bag
and I totally missed him until my friend ran up to me
quietly squealing. We eventually ran into him again
as we were viewing other exhibits. We didn’t
approach him at all and let him be. Just squeeled to
ourselves. He’s more beautiful in person

The purpose of a recount is to tell about past experience..
Types of recount:

Personal recount : retell an event that the writer personally involved in.
Factual recount: recording an incident, e.g. a science experiment, police report.
Imaginative recount: writing an imaginary role and giving details of events, e.g. a day
in the life of a pirate, how I invented....

Features of recounts

focuses on individual participants/ events.

introduction/ orientation - events - Reorientation

Language Feature

The use of Past Tense S+Verb 2 or S + was/were+ Noun/adjective/Adverb
temporal conjunction: after, before, at last, finally, etc.
Use of personal pronoun (I,We)
