​The managing RN is assigning home health client visits for the following clients

Mr. Watson: Schizophrenia, recieves risperidone injection every 4 weeks, scheduled for a dose today
Ms. Ford: Chronic kidney disease w/peritoneal dialysis, daughter assists with dialysis
Ms. Randal: CAD w/percutaneous coronary angioplasty w/stenting. Discharged from hospital yesterday, requires home health admission
Mr. Dalton: Diabetes, chronic leg infection needs weekly wound assessment of leg and receives daily UAP visits
Mr. Inman: Lung cancer. Last chemo a week ago, needs blood drawn todayfor CBC
Mrs. Appleton: COPD reporting increased dyspnea and has been increasing home O2 rate

Mrs. Appleton's increased SOB indicates the need for rapid assessment.
In addition, high flow rates can cause an increase in partial pressure of CO2 and suppression of respiratory drive in clients with COPD.

After receiving the 6 clients assignments the nurse is informed that they must attend a 2pm mandatory in-service. This will limit the time the nurse has for visits. Only 4 clients will be scheduled to be seen today.
