List of Spanish indirect pronouns

2

Faltar – The Spanish verb faltar means to be missed, to be lacked, or to be needed.

Faltar is one of those Spanish words that convey shades of meaning that do not exist in English. It cannot be translated literally. You may feel less confused if you do not try to translate it literally. Rather, get used to how it's used and the contexts in which you hear it. You will find the verb faltar to be a very useful tool as you talk about what you miss, lack, or need.

Yo falto Nosotros faltamos
Tu
faltas Vosotros faltáis
Usted, El, Ella
falta Ustedes, ellos, ellas faltan

Yo falto a la fiesta - I miss the party
Ellas faltan a clase - They miss class.

When used with Inderect Object Pronouns: Like verb "gustar", verb "faltar" only has 2 conjugations: falta and faltan. Use "falta" when followed by a singular noun and "faltan" when followed by a plural noun.

Me falta un plato - I need a plate.

Te faltan las servilletas – You need the napkins.
